Independent Film Distribution

Distribution Channels

Through our distribution channels we're able to reach the global entertainment market. We distribute films in nearly all formats and territories, however our key strengths remain North American DVD release, worldwide Video On Demand (VOD), and foreign sales. Below you'll find more detailed information about all the formats and platforms we deliver content through.

Key Areas

DVD
Home Video

Our subsidiaries Brain Damage Films and Midnight Releasing have released hundreds of DVDs into the North American market, from mom-and-pop video stores to the largest retail and rental chains.

Video on Demand
Worldwide VOD

We aggressively research and pursue partnerships with established and emerging Video On Demand platforms. Look for our titles anywhere you can stream, download, or rent movies.

Television

We regularly present our films to free- and pay-TV networks for broadcast wherever there might be interest.

Theatrical

While the theatrical market is not suitable for most independent films, if a film has significant public interest we have the ability to organize a limited theatrical run in the US.

Foreign Sales

A large part of our business comes from licensing rights to distributors in other territories. To see our films localized and released in another country is something we strive for.

Our Domestic Release Process

1Licensing & Acquisition

Our acquisitions team scouts film festivals, the horror press, and other sources, as well as fielding a large amount of submissions to find and license the most marketable films.

2Delivery & Ingestion

Once the ink has dried filmmakers send in all their assets which are inspected to make sure they meet the technical quality standards of today's mostly digital marketplace.

3Scheduling & Packaging

In the packaging stage our team develops the overall image and marketing plan. Artwork is everything in this market, so we work with some of the best graphic design firms in the industry.

4Release & Marketing

We do our best to time all our marketing efforts to land around each film's release date. Our team has a keen sense of what drives sales best in each area from sell-through to rental to VOD.

We always look forward to their upcoming slate

We have been purchasing Midnight Releasing and Brain Damage titles dating back to 2010. Their ad-box artwork is always attention grabbing, and their sales team is very easy to work with. We are very happy with their titles' performance in our stores, and we always look forward to see their upcoming slate.

Thank You

Having our movie out is a dream come true, and we couldn't have done it without you. The DVD and its accompanying art is really nice, and it's more than we could have hoped for. We'd like to thank you and your team for being so accommodating.
